Library of Technics Presents European Calligraphy at Olive & Rose

Join us for a special Thursday evening of European calligraphy by candlelight, en plein air, at the at Olive & Rose.
Pamela Rose Kossek of Library of Technics will guide students through a survey of 18th- and 19th-century traditions in typography, calligraphy, and the art of flourishing. No prior experience necessary. Letterform studies draw from authentic historical examples in the Library of Technics ephemera collection, including an original 1911 notebook as a practice sheet.
The class uses vintage, acid-free paper, ink, and original 1950s fountain nibs, with the option to wax-seal your letters all by candlelight, with full access to Olive & Rose’s open menu and drinks.
