Monster Mash Halloween Celebration

The City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM), in partnership with the Long Beach Public Library, will host Monster Mash, a frightfully fun Halloween festival, at Lincoln Park (101 Pacific Ave.) on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026. This free, family-friendly celebration will feature a variety of themed activities and promises to be a day full of festivities, joy and community connection.
Monster Mash will take place from 11 AM to 2 PM and feature carnival games, balloon animals, a cake walk, themed arts and crafts including a popsicle scarecrow decorating station, and other activities. Young ghouls and goblins are encouraged to dress in their most creative, family-friendly costume and show it off during a costume parade, as well as trick-or-treat hunt inside the adjacent Billie Jean King Main Library (200 W. Broadway), taking place from 11 AM to 1 PM.
Attendees will also have the chance to win prizes by marking off their completed activities on their Monster Mash passport and dropping their earned opportunity drawing tickets into their preferred prize basket. In order to receive a passport, attendees must check in and receive a bracelet upon their arrival. Free parking will be available in the Civic Center Parking Garage (332 W. Broadway) for the duration of the event.
Community members are encouraged to bring their friends and neighbors and enjoy a Halloween outing filled with fun games and community spirit. More information about Monster Mash is available by calling 562.570.3524.
