Join Shakespeare by the Sea for a free outdoor performance of Macbeth, one of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies. Bring your blankets and enjoy the bench seating or your lawn chair. Enjoy an evening of live theater under the stars at The Shell!
Thanks to a Community Project Grant from the Arts Council for Long Beach, Live at The Shell is thrilled to help Shakespeare by the Sea bring two free, unforgettable nights of Macbeth to the stage in Long Beach.

ABOUT SHAKESPEARE BY THE SEA:
Shakespeare by the Sea (SBTS) is a nonprofit organization that presents free Summer Shakespeare throughout the South Bay, and parts of L.A. and Orange Counties. Partnerships with local city organizations enable SBTS to offer the performances for free. In 2026, SBTS will perform one production for four weeks, and anticipates that over 10,000 community members will attend its production.
Shakespeare by the Sea’s Free Summer Festival is for everyone — regardless of age, race, economic stability or address and our audience is a melting pot of Americana. It is the only annual admission free theatrical event that serves the entire South Bay, LA, and parts of Orange Counties.
