Long Beach Open Studio Tour

The 2026 Long Beach Open Studio Tour returns this October as its largest event in 16 years, with more than 120 artists opening over 80 studios across Long Beach, up from 65 studios last year.
The free, self guided tour offers a unique way to experience the city. Rather than taking place over a single weekend, the event unfolds across four weekends in October, with each weekend highlighting a different neighborhood. Visitors can meet artists, step inside working studios, discover artwork, and explore parts of Long Beach they may not otherwise see.
From backyard studios and home workspaces to urban art hubs, the tour offers a rare look at the creative spaces hidden throughout the city. Nearly 3,000 visitors participated last year.
“Long Beach is home to an incredible range of artists,” said Javier Sola, who leads the tour with Cherie Sola. “The Open Studio Tour gives people a chance to meet those artists, see where they work, and experience different parts of the city in a completely new way.”
Founded in 2009 by artists Lisa Wibroe and Tina Burnight, the tour was created to connect Long Beach artists with the communities around them. Leadership transitioned to Javier and Cherie Sola in 2021, and the event remains artist run and community powered, in partnership with Art Clout.
