Long Beach County Fair

You don’t think of **Long Beach** for farm goods, but back in the 1800’s, this was growing country!
A festival of the land — celebrating ancient crops, living traditions, and the makers who carry them forward.
**This is a FREE EVENT!!! But, they do take donations!** Always donate to great people, if you can!
First Fridays — **Bixby Knolls’** monthly street festival of art, music, and small businesses — transforms each April into the **Long Beach County Fair**.
This year, **Long Beach Fresh** is curating an evening of food, culture, and community inside the **Katie Phillips Gallery.**
Drop in and explore: flower crowns and plant sale by Sowing Seeds of Change Urban Farm, an Urban Growers Blue Ribbon Competition, and the Three Sisters Art Show featuring works by Toña Luisa Osher — *We Owe Our Lives to the Corn / De La Milpa A Tu Mesa*. Meet El Salsero and taste [Acapico Salsa’s](https://acapicosalsa.com/ “https://acapicosalsa.com/”) salsas and hot sauces and have cookies with Alaysia of [Leave No Crumbz](https://leavenocrumbz.com/ “https://leavenocrumbz.com/”).
Woven throughout the evening, **Our Casita on Wheels** will be presenting: an opening land acknowledgement ceremony, masa making demos, a Three Sisters Instagram Booth, Círculo de Cantos, **bee products** by Granny Kitchen Love, salsa macha, teas and herbs, and jewelry and crafts.
Now, we are close to **EJ’s Pub** in Bixby Knolls. After the show, let’s check out EJ’s and let people know if you came from Farm Counties!
