Cambodia Town Parade and Culture Festival

April 4 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Cambodia Town Parade and Culture Festival
Join us for the vibrant Cambodia Town Parade and Culture Festival, a celebration of Cambodian heritage, community, and culture. This annual event brings together families and visitors for a day of traditional dance performances, authentic Cambodian cuisine, live music, and cultural exhibitions that honor the rich traditions of Cambodia and the Cambodian American community.
The Parade: A Journey of Healing and Remembrance
The Cambodia Town Parade stands as a powerful symbol of resilience, hope, and collective healing for the Cambodian community. For survivors of the Khmer Rouge genocide and the killing fields, and for the generations that followed, this parade represents more than celebration—it is an act of reclamation and renewal. Through vibrant displays of traditional costumes, sacred Apsara dance, Buddhist monks in procession, and community organizations marching together, the parade honors those who were lost while affirming that Cambodian culture, spirit, and identity not only survived but flourish.
This procession creates space for the community to process intergenerational trauma, celebrate survival, and pass forward cultural traditions that were nearly extinguished. It is a public declaration that despite unspeakable hardship, the Cambodian people have rebuilt, preserved their heritage, and created thriving communities. The parade transforms pain into pride, loss into legacy, and silence into celebration.
Festival Celebrations
Following the parade, the festival offers hands-on cultural activities, artisan vendors, and performances spanning generations. Enjoy authentic Cambodian cuisine, witness classical and folk performances, and participate in traditional arts and crafts. Whether you’re reconnecting with your heritage or discovering Cambodian culture for the first time, this celebration offers an opportunity to experience the warmth, resilience, and artistic traditions of the Cambodian community.
Free and open to the public. All are welcome to celebrate, learn, and connect.
