Saturday, May 18, 2024: Pride Parade, Festival & Parties!
Head over to Rainbow Lagoon at 386 E. Shoreline Drive for the Long Beach Pride Festival, which runs from 11 AM to 10 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. The festival features multiple stages showcasing a variety of entertainment, including country, hip-hop, and dance performances. This year’s headliners include Ivy Queen on Sunday and Saucy Santana on Saturday. Other notable performers include Valentina on Sunday and Reyna Roberts on Saturday, along with the renowned local drag queen, Jewels, who will perform on both days.
General admission tickets for the festival are $40 each day. For those looking for a more luxurious experience, VIP tickets are available for $125 each day. VIP access includes luxury restrooms, an elevated bar experience, a shaded lounge area, and a chill zone. You can purchase tickets online.
The festival grounds also feature a vibrant marketplace with vendor booths offering unique Pride merchandise, art, and crafts. Start your Sunday morning with the Pride Run, kicking off at 8 AM at the intersection of Junipero Avenue and Ocean Boulevard. This event features both a 5K and 10K run, as well as a 5K walk, catering to all fitness levels. The scenic route offers breathtaking views as you run, walk, or jog along the beautiful coastline. The Pride Run is all about celebrating health, wellness, and the spirit of community. Don your brightest gear, and get ready to move for a great cause. Registration is $25, and participants receive a race bib and a commemorative t-shirt. Be sure to sign up online in advance to secure your spot!
After getting energized from the Pride Run, head over to Ocean Boulevard for the Pride Parade, starting at 10:30 AM. The parade will feature a vibrant procession along the scenic stretches of Ocean Boulevard. Picture this: colorful floats, marching bands, dance troupes, community groups, and, of course, our fabulous drag queens and kings, all coming together to celebrate love, diversity, and equality. The energy is contagious, and the visuals are nothing short of spectacular.
Ocean Boulevard will be transformed into a sea of rainbows and glitter as the parade winds its way from Lindero Avenue to Alamitos Avenue. It’s a joyous, high-energy event that showcases the spirit of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Each year, participants go all out with their decorations, costumes, and performances, making the parade a feast for the eyes and a celebration for the soul.

Street closures will occur at various times: from 6 AM to 2 PM on Ocean Boulevard between Redondo and Lindero, including side streets; from 7 AM to 2 PM on Shoreline Drive between Ocean Boulevard and Shoreline Village Drive; and from 8 AM to 2 PM on Ocean Boulevard between Lindero and Atlantic, including side streets, and on Alamitos Avenue between Ocean Boulevard and Broadway.
